Description

The only limit is your imagination in this D&D-style game that will take players through Jewish history, encountering Jewish magic, monsters, and more! Come make a character, meet heroes and villains of Jewish history, and defeat the bad guys in this fun and educational dive into the Jewish past. Every session of this class will take place in a different period of Jewish history, as we chase a group of time-travelling bad guys, who are trying to change history so that the Jews will never have existed!

  • Week 1: Create our characters, meet the bad guys, and travel to Tel Aviv in 1948 to try to protect the founders of the state of Israel.
  • Week 2: Following the bad guys, we travel into the 1200s and meet some of the masters of Kabbalah.
  • Weeks 3 & 4: Exactly where we go depends on what YOU do during the first two classes, but possibilities include the Spanish Inquisition, the era of Saladin and Maimonides, or the Talmudic academies in Iraq.
  • Week 5: In the thrilling conclusion to our adventure, we travel to all the way back to ancient Egypt, fighting against the Pharaoh of the Exodus, who is now armed with powerful technology from the far future. Will our heroes save the day and preserve the future.

This Truvie course meets for 5 session of learning and game play!
