The 1990s were forever ago, we know. But reaching back into what is considered "modern history," even if it's ancient to your kiddo, paints a colorful picture about how we got to the Judaism we're all living today. Learn about the history of Jews in the 1900s: modern Zionism and the state of Israel, the Holocaust, Iranian Jews, Russian Jews, women as rabbis...you name it, it was a busy and challenging 100 years. This survey of the 20th century will help students be able to make sense of how we got to where we are today, and identify areas they may want to study in future classes!
