Each person is B’tselem Elohim (created in a holy image) and a critical part of the work of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) in their families, communities and country.

Description

 

In Moving Mindfulness: Discover How Much YOU Matter, students will experience the power of Qigong (Cultivating Life Force) as they recognize how important each of them uniquely are to our world. Each person is B’tselem Elohim (created in a holy image) and a critical part of the work of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) in their families, communities and country.

  • Week 1: Qigong practice and an exploration of what is unique about each of us: B’tselem Elohim.
  • Week 2: Qigong practice and a focus on how our unique gifts contribute to Repairing the World – Tikkun Olam - followed by a call to action to USE those gifts this coming week and report back.
  • Week 3: Qigong practice and noticing how important taking care of oneself is important not just for us, but for the part we each play in creating a better family, school, community and country.
Requirements
In this class we will be moving and stretching. Make sure you are in a space where you can do this without being distracted by others!
Supply List

Pen and paper. There will be printed material to use that will be sent via email. You'll need to print out some worksheets for each session and fill them out by hand.

Natalie Goldfein
Natalie Goldfein relishes helping people learn about themselves and others. She believes we create a better world for all by bringing our uniqueness to all we do. As President of YOU Matter Coaching & Consulting, Natalie is a teacher, life coach and consultant with over 30 years of experience helping people make changes in order to do things better, interact more effectively, feel good about themselves, and make the world a better place. Her work with companies, non-profit organizations and summer camps includes individual and group coaching, mentoring, strategic consulting and facilitation, and leadership training. Natalie is a certified Qigong and Tai Chi instructor who loves to share this ancient-made, modern practice of moving mindfulness with as many people as possible. Natalie created the Culture of Kindness Annual Challenge, YOU Matter: Own Your Gifts Method Group Process and is the author of Inspiring Energy: Improving Your Life through Simple Changes.
