ScratchJr: How to Code with Your Grandchild

Grandchildren and grandparents: Here’s a unique opportunity to learn how to code a game together. Create your own game, based on a classic Jewish story, using ScratchJr, an app designed to teach children ages 8–9 how to code in creative and fun ways. Join Jessica Blake-West, ScratchJr Learning Experience Designer at the DevTech Research group, as she introduces the app, and leads you through a simply creative coding activity. Always wanted to see how to make the Noah's Ark story into a game? Together, you will build something unique with an animal or two, and get to play with your creation right there! It’s an ideal way to collaborate with your grandchild, whether you are together in person or separated by distance. We feel sure your grandchild will take the lead!
