Description

Minecraft, the top selling video game of all time, is an amazing way for learners to come together to make friends, have fun, and learn about Judaism through fun, collaborative, and competitive activities.

Minecraft’s building blocks provide the substance to create whatever a person may desire. In this course, the Minecraft universe will be a place to build around a series of Jewish holidays. Students will participate in a series of fun, collaborative activities that incorporate Jewish educational themes around the holidays, history, and Israel.

Join us for Passover and Israel themed Minecraft classes! We will start by learning about Passover - the seder and other traditions. Next, you will be transported to Israel, and get to explore the wonders of The Western Wall AKA The Kotel, the holiest site in Judaism, and then grab some proverbial souvenirs in the Shuk, the famous Israeli marketplace!

Gideon Katz (he/him)
Gideon Katz
I'm a nineteen-year-old second-year linguistics student at the University of Toronto. I recently started working for Lost Tribe, and I've been a summer camp counselor in the summer of 2019 and 2021, and I've also been playing Minecraft for nearly ten years.
Roi Gil (He/Him)
Roi Gil
Roi Gil provides educational content about Judaism through the exciting world of Minecraft. Roi does this through visiting replicas of Israeli locations in Minecraft, learning about the holidays through inciteful discussions and games, and ensuring the kids are engaged in the content. Roi grew up in Israel, so he is always able to add fun facts about the tours he takes the kids on, or the holidays they mention. Even after moving away from Israel, Roi has been involved in the Jewish community, partaking in the Israeli scouts for 5years before joining lost tribe.
