Description

Do you love drama, play, and improv? Then this class is for you!

In this class, we will get inside the character of Abraham through play and improv, and understand his values and ideals. We will also imagine ourselves being Abraham in his own day as well as imagine living our own lives as a modern Abraham. Through this process, we will gain a deep understanding of his ideals, and how we might apply them in our life.

  • Class 1: Discovering faith (when nobody else is on the same page). Explore what it was like for Abraham to discover faith and try to have spiritual integrity in a world filled with idolaters.
  • Class 2: Hospitality. Explore Abraham and Sarah’s model of hospitality, and imagine ourselves welcoming some very interesting characters.
  • Class 3: The Test. God put Abraham through a very challenging test. How did Abraham respond to his life challenges? How might we respond to life challenges we encounter?
Requirements
In this class we will be standing, making faces and moving, so be sure to be somewhere you can stand up and move.
Supply List

Access to dress-up clothes and/or stuffed animals or puppets is ideal but not necessary.
